Vocal guitarist John Darst will lead a dynamic jazz quartet in an afternoon performance spanning the rich sounds of the 1930s through the 1970s, featuring a wide-ranging mix of jazz and blues standards. A highly accomplished musician, John studied jazz at the University of Utah before moving into the Los Angeles entertainment scene, where he spent many years performing as a professional musician. He later settled in Arizona’s White Mountain region and has taught at Northland Pioneer College. Though he leads his own band, for this performance John will front a newly assembled group of accomplished jazz professionals.
